I love Elijah’s story!

Elijah was Jehovah’s friend.
But one time,
he felt like the only one who was doing good.
Have you ever felt that way?
C’mon!
Let’s learn from Elijah!
Elijah was a bold prophet.
Through Elijah, Jehovah showed everyone
that He is the only true God.
But some didn’t agree.
King Ahab and Queen Jezebel were bad rulers,
and they wanted the Israelites
to worship false gods.
Jezebel was going to kill Elijah
for what he did!
Elijah became afraid and ran for his life.
But he was more than afraid.
It seemed like nobody wanted
to worship Jehovah.
He felt alone.
So Jehovah spoke to his friend.
And Elijah poured out his heart.
He said: ‘I’ve been zealous for you.
But they killed your prophets,
and I’m the only one left.’
Jehovah listened
and told Elijah to stand before him.
Just then,
a strong wind blew across the land.
The ground shook and rumbled
with a mighty earthquake.
Then a big fire lit up the sky.
Then Elijah heard a calm, soothing voice.
Jehovah showed Elijah
that He is the most powerful Friend
anyone can have.
He also assured him
there were lots of people like him
who still worshipped Jehovah.
And later, He gave Elijah a new friend
and helper—Elisha.
Jehovah’s friends are never alone.
Whoa!
