Organizational Accomplishments—The 2025 Kingdom Ministry School

Video Other languages Share text Share link Show times

In 1959,
a small classroom in South Lansing, New York,
welcomed its first students.
That first class would grow
into a global training program,
helping overseers shepherd
Jehovah’s growing flock.
This effort continues today.
Recently, the Kingdom Ministry School
for the 2025 service year was held
to train and encourage
thousands of circuit overseers,
elders, and ministerial servants worldwide.
How is this school organized?
And how does it benefit those who attend?
The Service Committee of the Governing Body
is responsible
for the Kingdom Ministry School
and has been organizing classes for decades.
This school is one of the key ways we train
appointed brothers worldwide.
And the 2025 school was historic!
There were several historic features
to this series of schools.
For example,
it was the first time
that funds were allocated
for Governing Body members and their helpers
to travel to other lands to teach the school.
Another aspect
is that it had been 10 years
since sessions were conducted
specifically for circuit overseers.
And another beautiful feature
was that for the first time
in recent history,
the wives of the brothers
joined their husbands for the last two talks.
Looking out at the audience
and seeing faithful circuit overseers,
elders, ministerial servants,
and their dear wives
was truly a moving experience.
Seeing their smiles
and hearing their expressions
of appreciation reminded us all
why Jehovah loves them so dearly
and why we love them so dearly.
For the first time,
all of our circuit overseers
in our branch territory
met in one place
for the same Kingdom Ministry School.
It has never happened before.
The circuit overseers
were simply amazed and surprised
because they were not expecting
a Governing Body member
to be part of their Kingdom Ministry School.
It really highlighted to me
that Jehovah really cares for his people.
We learned a lot
from the self-sacrificing example
of these loyal men and their wives.
We appreciate them so much.
They play a vital part
in helping the Governing Body
to understand the needs of our brothers
and sisters around the world.
And on top of that, we had a lot of fun.
We made a lot of friends.
It was a real interchange of encouragement.
Psalm 78:72
was the theme text for the school:
“He shepherded them with integrity of heart,
and with skillful hands he led them.”
The program helped all in attendance
to better imitate Jehovah and Jesus.
The lessons on shepherding
focused on empathy, patience,
and leading by example.
I’ve been able to see how much Jehovah cares.
It’s a real gift from Jehovah,
as we see the organization
is being progressive.
These programs are helping us
to see that, yes, there is help.
Jehovah helps us; his spirit helps us.
Some Branch Committee members
also participated as instructors.
They too proved to be
an encouragement to the brothers.
Just being around all of our fellow elders
gives you a burst of energy.
We’re also grateful for the hard work
of our circuit overseers, elders,
and ministerial servants.
What a privilege it was to instruct them,
to encourage them, to personally thank them,
and to tell them how much
we love and respect them!
While there was some time
and monetary expense involved,
the spiritual benefits
far outweighed any costs.
We thank all of you,
dear brothers and sisters,
for your generous donations,
which helped make this school possible.
The 2025 Kingdom Ministry School
was not only a school
but it was a spiritual milestone,
one that clearly emphasized
Jehovah’s love for his people.
