Giving Glorifies Jehovah

Video Other languages Share text Share link Show times

Brothers and sisters,
the Governing Body would like to thank you
for your kind and generous contributions.
Your donations not only bring joy
to Jehovah’s heart
but also bring praise to his name.
When you make a donation,
do you ever wonder,
‘Which projects and initiatives
could my donations be supporting?’
Well, in this video, we’ll travel
across the globe to see examples
of the wonderful things that are being
accomplished with your donations.
We’ll also learn how some
of our young ones feel
about the contributions they make.
Our first stop is Costa Rica.
When I read
the appreciation letter of October 2025,
I felt so grateful and so encouraged
to know that so many brothers and sisters
can now have God’s Word in their languages.
It was then that I realized
that donations like mine
helped brothers and sisters
like those in Mozambique,
and they were able to have
Jehovah’s Word
in their own languages.
Knowing that the New World Translation
is now available in Tshwa
filled me with joy and greatly encouraged me.
It helped me see that something
as simple as a donation can be used
by Jehovah to reach
every corner of the earth.
And that makes me feel so happy
because I support
the interests of the Kingdom.
Just like our sister, you may have noticed
that each month you make
a contribution electronically,
you receive a letter of appreciation.
Many find these letters very encouraging
and even enjoy reviewing them
as part of their family worship.
These letters help the recipients see
how their donations are directly linked
to the work praising Jehovah worldwide.
Next, we’ll visit Cameroon.
I want to support
Jehovah’s organization with my allowance
because I really love
Jehovah and his organization.
Even though I’m still young,
I want to support the work being done.
When my parents give me my allowance,
I set a portion aside to contribute
to the worldwide work
in the contribution box
at the Kingdom Hall
and sometimes at assemblies.
When we visited the branch
and I saw the new exhibitions,
I was so excited.
I understood that these exhibitions
exist thanks to donations like mine.
It taught me to see that
my contributions serve a purpose.
Seeing in this new museum
all these well-preserved objects
that retrace the history of the work
in our territory strengthens my faith.
No matter your age,
you can feel a similar joy.
When you visit or hear
about the wonderful work
being carried out at your local branch,
do you stop to recognize
that your donations
help to make that work possible?
Our final stop is Thailand.
When I read the article
about how our donations are used
in filming The Good News According to Jesus,
it really impressed me to see
that there is careful planning
and everything is prepared in an orderly way
so that all the brothers and sisters
can work happily,
even though this is a large project
requiring time, effort,
and a great deal of money.
I feel happy and grateful to Jehovah
for providing this Good News drama
because it helps us understand
that Jehovah and Jesus
have such a wonderful relationship
with each other.
And most important, this has also
helped me want to be close
to both Jehovah and Jesus as well.
Are you looking forward
to watching the new episodes
of The Good News According to Jesus?
Donations like yours make these
faith-strengthening videos possible.
That’s in addition to our branch exhibits,
Bible translation work, and so much more.
Would you like to find out more
about these projects and other initiatives?
You can do so by visiting jw.org.
From the library, click on “Article Series.”
Then click on
“How Your Donations Are Used.”
Then you’ll find a variety
of articles explaining
how donations are being used
around the world.
Isn’t it a privilege
to support these initiatives
that bring honor to Jehovah’s name?
King David felt a similar way
when contributing
to the temple’s construction.
Note his words found
at 1 Chronicles 29:14:
“And yet, who am I
“and who are my people
that we should be
“in a position to make
voluntary offerings like this?
“For everything is from you,
and we have given to you
what comes from your own hand.”
Yes, even though all
of the riches belong to Jehovah,
he gives us the privilege
of contributing to the work
being accomplished around the world.
Our voluntary donations
are precious to him,
as they are more than
just financial transactions.
They are spiritual acts.
As such, they become part of our worship
and bring praise to our heavenly Father.
Once again, the Governing Body
thanks you for your generous spirit.
And we all thank Jehovah God
for the privilege we have
to give to the One
who has given us everything.
